Personally I think the Coupe gets the best out of CSL alloys :D

Mmmm.... I hate to say it but I am inclined to agree. I think the Coupe's suffer a lot more in stock from with the Conti's and lack of Strut brace than the Roadster does.

I had thought about getting CSL rims for my roadster as well, but now since *everybody* has them, I starting to think I should get something completely different . . .

... and considering my location, I don't think there are other Z4's with CSL rims, so I should be safe.

To my knowledge there are only two coupe's in Norway, one of them is far away, so I'm not expecting much of a 'competition' from them either.

Excellent! It'll be like the old days :D

Remember to wipe your feet before coming in though
I've seen some others from Z4um frequenting other bimmer forums with Z4 sections, complaining of withdrawal sympthoms :D
Seems like we are all dispersed by the wind.
Yes, I am one of those Americans going though withdrawal and seeking refuge....but I have been sitting quietly here on this thread not sure if I was really welcome or not....I hope we are, we all have the Z in common!

Ummm.. anyone? lol

Not picked them up yet - getting them next Saturday, although have pics of the wheels with the new tyres on.

I've had Goodyear F1 GSD3's fitted on them. Wanted Michelin PS2's but wanted to keep the costs down a bit. Saying that, have done some research and they get a great write up, and seem comparable to the PS2's. And I love the F1 tread pattern.

Will be interested to hear how you get on with them... I replaced the run flats with these yesterday and the car feels a bit vague around corners, almost as if it's sliding slightly (not driving too fast either). Maybe they just need wearing in a little but not 100% impressed at the moment

I'm here too, never post, just lurk, but at least i've been a member for more than a month. :)

I had to laugh at myself. I asked someone if those of us from the USA were welcome, was told to come over and register only to find my username taken. Seems I had registered and forgotten. Still lurk tho.

I'll go anywhere I can find posts from Spokey and Giles. Sometimes someone needs to shout that the emperor is naked.

AND, i'll keep my lips to myself.

Lots of people here that I remember from my first visits to Z4um and when I thought that a 4 cyl Z3 would be enough for me.

Yeah,
Glad to see that zroadster is still up and running strong.
I don't understand this sudden disappearance of Z4um. It was / is a good forum for the car and to be honest I never found it to be soooo American as so many of the really good contributors were from Britain.
I hope it gets back on line soon as I found it useful.

It will be down until Z4ce comes back into the UK later this week, and as he pays the bills he keeps the keys.

Need to change that then Mondy! You know it makes sense :D

(Then you can let me back in too!)

Seriously though, it is something to get sorted. Just because he pays the bills that's no reason to restrict access in the event of a major 'down'. I'm also amazed that you let him pay the bills alone! Surely you help him out??

Sort of a Z4um refugee here...

Tried to register at Z4um within the last few weeks. Only received the automatic reply, but didn't receive an actual activation email.

Anyways, just picked up a used 03 3.0i with SMG last Friday. Haven't got a chance to drive it much so far. Found a few things I want to address (mostly scratches here and there... and a dent :bawl: )

So the question is what is happening at Abbeville in August???

I noticed some familiar names had signed up with Easytrack (Greg and DavidM) and it does fit rather nicely into my trackday calendar for this year.

Donnington got messy at the weekend - when I managed to seize a front piston on the 5th session!!!

Shopping time for some brakes!!!

A few of us are planning a little get together, nothing big just a few mates, a race track and a couple of beers afterwards. There a bit more info at zed-cars-eu if you are interested.

All right, withdrawal getting too much. Pretty new Z4 owner and fairly new on the "other" board. After much searching high and low - what did I find!

Ahhh, now I can satisfy my addiction again. Hello all.

I have received the following very sad message, yesterday evening, from z4ce:
I am in pakistan helping my sister in law. She was in a bad car accident and has been left paralysed. We have arranged for air ambulance to uk. I will be back next week and will get site up then. I dont have net access here. Sending this via phone gprs.
I have sent him a reply from his friends on all the forums wishing them both well and giving them our kind regards.

You can see from the above Z4um will be down for a time yet, and thank zroadster for their hospitality.

Great!!! just as soon i was about to start a project on my Z z4um had to go down.

i'm trying to install a carputer in my Z4. I will be putting a 7" or 8" screen in the front dash instead of the stock stereo and the air vents (crazy i know).

I HAVE SO MANY QUESTIONS. and the only site that can help me is down.

Another refuge here ... what a bummer. Looks like we'll just use this forum. I've been a member for awhile - but never used it. Didn't know that zpost.com even existed. Exactly how many BMW Z forums do we need?
