I never thought in a million years i would be this close to buying something like a Z4...
I was hoping for some advice on discussions with the dealer, I am hoping to go in there with cash having sold mine privately this weekend - i presume this would give me much better bartering power or would the value they put on my car act as cash?
This is the car;
Over and above the standard equipment, the car has double spoke 17's, folding exterior mirrors, extended storage, carver professional hifi (what is this?), leather, M sport suspension, metallic paint, seat heating, wind deflectors and xenon headlights.
It has done 50k miles and as you can see is on a 54 plate.
It has 'servotronic steering' - what is that about?
What sort of price would you expect to pay for that then? Before I tell you what it is up for?
Alex

You wouldn't need to spend any more than that for a very tidy 2004 2.5 with some nice toys - although dealer would be 11-12k I imagine - part ex, that would be 9K max right now. I would check out the private classified and BMW group auctions at BCA if you're brave - could save a hell of a lot.Justin Time wrote:Without too much detail, £10-11k?
The Professional HiFi was the top option on the Z4. It's a very nice upgrade. It has a DSP amplifier and 10 speakers delivering 430w. The subs use Carver technology to produce good base from a relatively small speaker and enclosure, at low volumes.
The steering system is electronic. It's become quite common on newer cars but does rob some of the feedback a traditional hydraulic system provides. The Z4M has a hydraulic system.
The Z4 is no longer in production. Maybe you can use that as an argument to reduce the asking price?
