Z4 VOSA MOT History

Post by petach »

I am picking up my Z4 3.0i SE tomorrow from main dealer. I am 55 and it is my very first 2 seater It's a 53 plater with 22k on the clock. I did a VOSA MOT check and was astonished to find the following:

From new (12/2003) covered 16k miles by first MOT (12/2006)
to 12/2007 covered less than 2k
to 12/2008 covered less than 1k !!!!!!!!!!
to 12/2009 covered just over 3k

As you can imagine, the car is immaculate. But I just wonder why anyone would spend over £37k (on road with extras) on a car and hardly drive it.

I intend to use it as an everyday car and open it up on my work journey, ie 24 miles round trip on dual carriageway. Will this lack of use have had a negative effect on the car? I have a full 1yr BMW warranty from main dealer, so if anything shows up it will be covered.

It has lovely red leather seats, sterling metalic grey paint TV/Blutooth/Navi on a central dash pop-up console, xenon lights, rear park assist, 18" alloys. A beauty. I won't sleep tonight from excitement!
