Post by maxum »

Spent all day Saturday fitting new drilled and groved Brake disc's with green stuff pads, and of couse the Spanky new LM Reps
18inc with 225/40/18 ET38 Front and 255/35/18 ET45 rear :D

The before shot

I stripped down all the Brake calipers last weekend and painted them in Red

Ready for the new larger 300mm Front disc's and Green stuff pads ( As fiited to the 3lt model ) I painted all the hubs of the disc's in silver, and aplired some BMW decals to the calipars 8-)

Then on went the new wheels

It has a fair old wheel gap

But with the freshley painted calipares and new disc's the job is getting there

The ride is good, better than i was expecting from the upgrade from the 17inc :) I just need to sort out that wheel gap which i have a set of Eibach for that little problem, i'm hopeing they do not kill the ride. i will update when that job has been done :thumb: :?:

Very good :D

The exaggeration of the gap is common when you fit lower profile tyres ie its the same as before jus looks worse with bigger alloys fitted

Have you owned an S2000, the reg looks wierd on a BMW :?:

Car looks great now, excellent choice of wheels :D

Will look fantastic when its lowered on eibachs! Where did you get the BMW centre caps from by the way? I'm tempted to change the centre caps on my wheels to these but never really knew if they would look right on LM's but they seem to suit them :drive

Must say the Cooper S was one of the best car's have owned :)

230hp a right little terraway, i think people underestamate the power
and speed of these little car's, a well tuned Cooper S will give an M3 a kicking :) up the strip and around a track :D

Good times for me but time to move on hence the Z4
