New Z4 - what nice bits to buy?

Post by burriana (al) »

I have just bought a lovely Sterling Grey over red leather 2.5 SE and am wondering if there are any obvious aesthetic upgrades.

The tail pipes are looking their age so are there any chrome tips that are best to get OR, is there a particular back box that would improve the acoustics?

Thanks,
al

Congrats on the purchase!

A good place to start would be some pictures... :D

I would but you can only upload 256kb on here and I don't know how to re-size the image.

Hi,

Thats a limit on the forum software. Most people follow this guide to upload pictures to Photobucket.

You need to get your pictures hosted on ANOther website (Photobucket, Flickr, Image Shack etc)
Then follow the guide HERE although I believe Photobucket is having some problems at the moment.

(You can't upload images directly on to ZRoadster)

Well... I'll try the Pistonheads way and see if that works... here goes!

Yay! It worked :)

I will do some nicer shots as this is just taken with the iPhone.

Now... about these tail pipes? :D

Congrats Al, car looks nice, hate the wheels and Eisenmann are the best 'zorsts for BMW's IMO, but pricey.

Nice looking car, and I love the Grey/Red colour combo. :thumb:

I personally think the Z4's look better on bigger rims, as they seem a bigger car. Would be nice to get rid of the amber from the headlights - Gookah did this on his IIRC.

Can't comment on your back end until we see it!

Cheers Stu... funnily, those are one of my favourite wheel styles :)

Not wanting to spend a fortune on another exhaust, I'm STILL waiting for the TR's exhaust to arrive from Italy!

Can you get nice tail pipe tips just to make them look presentable? If so, whois the best for such things?

I'm beginning to get the idea that the Z4s are far less supported than the Z3s on this forum :D
