Hood cleaning and re-proofing

As a result of the wonderful weather we are enjoying lol I need to clean and re-proof the hood on my Z4.
The problem I have and maybe a kind person will help is that the BMW cleaner and re-proofer that I bought for my Z3 some years age is without instructions, must have had a garage clear out !!!
Can someone please tell me the method and quantities to use? I really can't afford to screw it up !!!
