Which clay kit

Post by freds dad »

Im going to have go at claying my Zed after seeing the results of clayed cars at Tatton last weekend but which clay kit do I buy.
I was thinking of either Autoglym or Maguirs and would appreciate any recommendation, or if anyone knows of any better kits then please feel free to advise.

Hi freds dad,

I used the autoglym kit, you can see the results in my thread. I am very happy with the finish. I also addad three layers of AG HD wax to finish it off. Now it is a doddle to clean.

Looking back, after claying I wish I had polished the car a couple of times with SRP before adding the wax. This would have got rid of a few more swirl marks before I sealed the paint work.

There is also some very good advice from AW8 on the thread.

Hope this helps

I used Halfords Advanced clay kit, with good results, and got it in the 3 cleaning products for the price of 2 offer :)
