Swissol Detailing - Herts to Guildford

Post by Miss M »

Hi All!

I hope you won't mind me posting this but you must all be aware of recent issues with the Wax Wizard from the GB at Boxa.net!

This prompted a group of us in the Herts/M25/Surrey areas to find a new detailer - Darren Townend - this is a link to his site http://www.swissol-valeting.co.uk and I've checked with Swissol GB to ensure that he is authorised to use their products, which he is! We've organised a group buy with him and he's due down next week, Mon - Thurs.

Unfortunately, a couple of people have had to pull out due to business commitments that came up so Darren is going to have a couple of spaces available - he's starting in Stevenage and working his way down to Guildford. I just wanted to let you guys know in case anyone here wants the service but hasn't found someone to do it for them yet....sorry it's short notice!

If you'd like to have it done and want more info you can pm me here, or from www.z4um.com or email me at missmosh@btinternet.com

Best wishes
Moshy

Naaaah - I am not a lilly livered ponce who needs to get someone else to polish my car - I believe in doing it myself - with Meguiars and elbow grease - and I don't think I get a bad finish all in all

Trish - when you meet me - you may understand my somewhat odd (and abrasive) sense of humour - a spade is a spade and I'll happily take the pi$$ out of it and all that

Speaking as a lilly livered ponce (heh heh  ) I would like to point out that sometimes a spade is also a soil relocation device :P

But yes, I did get it and did not take offence.....in fact, I'm going to have a badge made with it on and wear it with pride!! :D

Hi!! :D

Allegations of using non Swissol products and labelling them as Swissol......it was a long and furious debate on Boxa.net, Z4um and discussed here too at an earlier date I think!

But the lovely Darren did a great job on my car, I need to get him back down again in the summer for maintenance (cos I'm far too lazy to attempt such a thing myself, might break a nail!  )

from TT Forums wrote:Mark sent Topbears group buy people his own runny stuff in pots with SWISSOL labels on them. What's more, he didn't bother to tell them that it wasn't the real deal i.e. the pots were NOT labelled wax wizard afaik. Is this trustworthy behaviour? I'm sure the stuff is brilliant - but that is not the point no matter HOW much you like Mark.

By the way, he did not supply his own stuff because swissol decided to end their relationship with him. He claims his orders were delayed - so he inserted his own product. AFTER this swissol cut him off.

:(

History does repeat itself - he did a similar stunt with Zymol products too and ended up being cut off from them and it all got rather nasty there too

Interesting exchange about substituted goods on the thread...
- If you ordered a TT but were given a Z4 or Nissan 350Z would you be happy?

- Some on here might just say yes to that question

I believe Swissol have something to clean that up for you Martlet!

I'm going to to get Darren back down for a touch up (cue Spokey) around April time. If anyone else would like to get the best wash shine and buff treatment ever (moving away from Spokey) I'm sure you'll find the whole process fantastic and well worth the cash, let me know if you'd like to take advantage of his services (waiting for Spokey to spontaneously combust in a fnaar overload  )
