I have an element of 'M-styling' on my car, If that's a good enough reason for the manufacturers to adorn a 320 with the M badge, then its certainly a good enough reason for me..
methinks its a 'vote' type thread

Personally I think that chrome against dark colours looks a little ... There are some colours which really suit a chrome contrast, like silver.
As I say personal preference and I doubt I would ever fit them, but if you like them, go for it...

But will they suit your car?
Get a roll of aluminium cooking foil and do a mock up
But remember to remove the turkey first

It would seem that you do not wish the retain the matching green ones
I suggest therefore that you get one in chrome and one in black
This will conform with the majority of opinions
As you cannot see both at the same time you will have a truly individual car
However, please do NOT ask on which side you should affix which colour

Look what appeared on mine this week
I'd say go for it, they do suit certain coloured cars better but I think they would look great contrasting against green

I'd forgotten about yours Zedona!Zedona wrote:We have a 2.8 in Boston Green with chrome gills and it looks great
Here's a couple of pictures from last years French Balade
I think they look good against both silver and the darker coloured paints
(The red arrows are highlighting Mike F's modified rear view mirror)
I would never offer an opinion as all mods ect ect are very personal but seeing as you are asking -
Its a definate NO from me. I think they suit the silver zeds great but look too blingy for me on dark colours.
I bought my zed in Feb this year and he had chrome gills, i soon got rid of them and took some stick off a few peeps on here, but am i bovered, NO
As long as you like it if you change them, thats all that matters.

Re: chrome side grills
You might have a green laguna, but somehow I think your zed is more likely to be boston or oxford green, since the laguna in zedspeak is laguna seca and it's blue!yocky z3 2.0 wrote:I have got a laguna green 2.0

Think not Robert, Tony's Z has a 1 off paint job done by his mate. Doubt there is another Z with Laguna Green but who knows!!!!!Robert T wrote:You might have a green laguna, but somehow I think your zed is more likely to be boston or oxford green, since the laguna in zedspeak is laguna seca and it's blue!yocky z3 2.0 wrote:I have got a laguna green 2.0

Anything but fitting tacky chrome addendum is fineTitanTim wrote:cw, do you actually like anything people do to their Zeds?c_w wrote:A big no no from me too, they look awful - just look at the photos for proof! They look cheap and break up the lines of the car.
They're only passable on a silver car and this is only because silver is almost the same colour

Thank you gookah. Remind me to either sack my "apprentic" (sic), or send her on a proof reading coursegookah wrote:Like the way you point out a mistake...... we "shroud" all take a leaf out of your bookThe Sorceror wrote: this shroud read "addenda"
And so that she may benefit further:
