I have an element of 'M-styling' on my car, If that's a good enough reason for the manufacturers to adorn a 320 with the M badge, then its certainly a good enough reason for me..

Personally I think that chrome against dark colours looks a little  ... There are some colours which really suit a chrome contrast, like silver.

As I say personal preference and I doubt I would ever fit them, but if you like them, go for it...

It would seem that you do not wish the retain the matching green ones
I suggest therefore that you get one in chrome and one in black
This will conform with the majority of opinions
As you cannot see both at the same time you will have a truly individual car :D
However, please do NOT ask on which side you should affix which colour

I'd say go for it, they do suit certain coloured cars better but I think they would look great contrasting against green 8-)

I would never offer an opinion as all mods ect ect are very personal but seeing as you are asking -

Its a definate NO from me. I think they suit the silver zeds great but look too blingy for me on dark colours.

I bought my zed in Feb this year and he had chrome gills, i soon got rid of them and took some stick off a few peeps on here, but am i bovered, NO :D

As long as you like it if you change them, thats all that matters.

You might have a green laguna, but somehow I think your zed is more likely to be boston or oxford green, since the laguna in zedspeak is laguna seca and it's blue!

A big no no from me too, they look awful - just look at the photos for proof! They look cheap and break up the lines of the car.

They're only passable on a silver car and this is only because silver is almost the same colour
