Hood protection

Post by theduck »

Just want to give you all a big recommendation for your hood protection, recently bought and used G Techniq i1 Smart Fabric on my hood.

It is truly as epic as the below video makes it out to be!

That looks like it might be a good buy! How did you apply it? Was there a warning to keep it off the paintwork?

Well guys, I purchased this stuff and do recommend it.

I do normally use the Autoglym hood protection kit. In this case, I hoovered and cleaned my hood with the Autoglym cleaner and applied this stuff as the protector.

It does'nt stain the windows or paintwork like the autoglym stuff and it wipes off like water, if you do manage to miss the hood. It has rained today, and i can confirm that the water does bead, like it does with the Autoglym stuff.

Ill keep you updated with how it copes in the coming weeks. The guys on the Youtube video suggest its meant to last 3 years, but I'm somewhat skeptical.

Well guys, I can honestly say that this stuff really works. It's still water beading after a month. Definitely recommend this stuff!

Wow, thats almost as much as the Autoglym kit which has the cleaner and proofer supplied... Looks good results though, but my the AG stuff works pretty good too...

Just spent sunday giving the Zed some TLC and the AG kit worked a treat! Just need some rain to bead on the roof as proof!
