Bare SS lips will require constant maintenance but its worth it for the shine. You will find the finish will start to fade (go cloudy). AG SRP is a good start and what i'd use on a regular basis, if you are struggling to bring back the shine try the more abrasive autosol - the stuff is unbeatable, just don't use it on the painted centers. Always finish with a rim wax as suggested by badman, autosol leaves no protection.
In the past I had BBS RM's which had bare lips, I used to polish them once a week to hold the awesome shine its one of the most rewarding experiences getting the mirror finish gleaming!!
I am contemplating stripping the factory laquer from my BBS LM lips but its a good layer of protection and next to impossible (if not extremely expensive) to recoat if I changed my mind

I'm currently using poorboys wheel sealant: http://www.poorboysworld.com/wheel-sealant.htm. Only just started using it though on my new wheels so cant be sure how good it lasts[/url]
