Refurbing new wheels

Post by Kentzroadster »

I have just purchased my new wheels, nice 18 inch mv2's the front wheels have few kerbing marks and some flaking. Can anyone recommend a decent company in maidstone/kent area to repair?

Can I just have front wheels repaired or should I have total refurb of all 4 wheels to stop Mis match in colouring?

I guess you are in Kent by your nom de plume. 8-) I had all four wheels
refurbished by "Spit & Polish" Unit 12B Sovereign Way, Tonbridge.
Tel 01732367771. in 2008 cost £275 then. It was a one day job
leaving the car with them, had to book well in advance as they
are mainly a motortrade service.

You can have only one wheel done if that is what you want. You are the customer.

It depends how bad the other two are. A friend of mine only got 2 wheels done. and they outshone the remaining two wheels that didn't have done, so he then had to get those two wheel done costing more in the long run.

You may get a better deal having all 4 wheels done together, than having 2 done and then another 2 done.

Lepsons are in Gillingham. Had some work done there before and the quality was pretty good.

I went to Spit and Polish to take a look before using them for another project. They looked very professional, but not chap though.

Local to me are Wheel Works UK in Crawley. I had my ///M wheels done in shadow chrome there and an excellent (full strip and paint) job for £60 per corner.

Several members on here have used the services of a company called The Wheel Specialist, although not the branch nearest to you at East Grinstead. They are franchises, so the quality of work may vary from branch to branch. Here is a link to theeir website;

It may be worth giving them a call to get some prices.

As far as getting just two wheels done, or all four, I would get them all done together before you fit them to the car. They will all match and you won't have the issue of having to lose the use of the car to get them refurbed in the future.

Good luck!!!
