Replacing a seatbelt.

Post by Southernboy »

Brief description of the requirements of replacing a seatbelt.
1. If you have roll bars...remove both.
2. Remove the rear center storage box.
3. Undo the seatbelt retaining bolt adjacent to the seat at bottom.
4. Remove the upper "boot" shaped trim.
5. Remove the lateral side trim.
6. Remove the bolt at the top of the rollbar bracket.
7. Remove the bolt holding the seatbelt mechanism to the car.

Installation is the reverse of the above. NB. The seatbelt retaining mechanism, and the bolt at the top of the roll bar bracket have both been made with a locating pin which have reciprocal holes into which they must locate for correct positioning.
Anyone requiring more detail on the various steps mentioned should do a further search in the Z3 KB on the specifics there-of.
