Can anyone advise the best / correct washing / cleaning method for the OEM mesh wind deflector?

Soapy water and a sponge and when it is dried use leather balm.

Tossed it in the bath...soap and soft long bristle brush...gave it a good going over, and used the hand shower to blast all the dirty foam etc out...now dried, embalmed with leather cream, buffed and re-fitted....I now have a deflector that smells of "Spring Blossoms"....well that's what the soap powder box had written on it :flower:
