Getting ready for zed fest
What are people doing in preparation for zed fest?
I'm spending the weekend detailing and arranging all my detailing stuff.

Re: Getting ready for zed fest
Thought of you recently Mr BMG. They are doing what they call "top dressing" to a lot of country roads/lanes around here at the moment which involves spreading chippings on liquid tar across the road. Chippings everywhere, you can here the "tapping" as you drive along. I'm not too fussy but even I avoid driving these routes at present in the Z3. Anybody with a car approaching concours standard would be in a right stress.

Tell your local councillor to have them swept up after the works are completed...

It's a hobby mate and I love it.
Not a chore but a therapeutic hobby.
Good luck with your new zed.

I don't mind washing the car but waxing I find tedious.
I have had the zed and the Gold Mustang coated with a Nano Seal, the Mussie hasn't been waxed since last September and appears to reject dirt

Re: Getting ready for zed fest
Agree with Gary...waxing is a bore...easier to take it for a good exterior valet once a year...£30.00 includes claying, washing, waxing, buffing etc...and I get to do more inspiring stuff for a few hours...
Re: Getting ready for zed fest
washing and a polish hmmmmm, i'm driving in the z on sat from Glasgow for week down in the south coast, staying in Bournemouth before Silverstone so let's hope I can find a power wash in the area. don't think the good lady will want to get her hand's dirty detailing after a week driving around the south coast do you, iv'e that much polish on the car a quick wash should be enough let's hope
