Mesh grilles in bumpers with a nice touch

Post by Dino D »

Just saw this in BF:
http://forums.bimmerforums.com/forum/sh ... ?t=2106208

I'll be doing mesh on my 2.8 bumper (main air dam and fog light cutouts and If I ever get the Hamman replica bumper would do the same to that).
The supplier of the mesh in the US also supplies the trim that makes the finish look so pro.
I can find mesh here in UK (plenty on eBay) but any ideas for a UK source for the trim around the edges?

I am also interested in this and for the same reason :) That bumper looks awesome. I think we need to source also fitting parts.

Thanks for that link.
Also remembered I have a seals direct catalogue and see they do it too:

Also google searched 'neoprene edge trim' and a few places come up and on eBay.

Now just have to decide on the size of the mesh holes and thickness of trim I want and get some ordered!

So have ordered this mesh:

Now looking at edge trims and found an interesting site with quite a few options:
