Dordogne Weekend, 29/30th Aug
I have been in touch with Frederic from the BMW Serie 3 E21/E30 Club France who arranged the trip to the Loire last year that quite a few of us attended.
Well, good news - he is arranging another trip based in the Dordogne around Cahors on the 5th and 6th September.
All the details have still to be finalised but if you are interested watch this space.

Phil, I think this is a possible for us - chuffed to bits. Please put us "on the list".
Hopefully the roads will be potholed, the hotels slummy and the food on a par with Colonel Salmonella's
I'm sure the company will be the usual shocking standard too!

Dordogne Trip
Sounds brilliant - I really want to get some use and miles out of the Z after last years crap summer (it doesn't go out in the wet - that's why God invented saloons)

We'd also be up for this except it's 290 miles down to Folkestone to start with. My Google says it's more like 530 miles Calais-Cahors.HomeStoned wrote:been google mapping it, it's about 350 miles to get to Cahors from the tunnel
I'm working on SWMBO but much as we both love driving the Z, long straight roads are pretty boring in any country. However, if I can combine the September weeekend with a longer sojourn in Italy/France, we may be talking.
I fancy a few days around Lake Maggiore first then across southern France - and damn the fuel bill
Fingers crossed

Dordogne Weekend
Yes we are up for this, and we intend to make it into a holiday as well in this area, we already live in France in the Loire so if anyone interested in a meet and a convoy run down get in touch
Its 540 miles from the tunnel -- dont know which tunnel you were going throughHomeStoned wrote:been google mapping it, it's about 350 miles to get to Cahors from the tunnel
& at least 160 from mine to Dover, i would like a weekend away...
but 900- 1000 mile round trip, that's before we go on a little cruise .
that's one heck of a fuel bill.

This may be a possibility depending on which cross channel route we take. Nothing decided yet but will keep in touch.

Ken and Linda used to live about 7 miles from us until they emigrated to a small village between Pouance and Segre.
AFAIK They are traveling down Friday and joining up with us at Mike F's B&B
