Ok, testing the water here - stay calm...

Postby Gucci » Sat 14 Aug, 2004 08:47

Don't get me wrong, I love the Z, mine has been great. For some reason, the urges won't go away and this is wave two of having them... I want... a supercharged Jag S-Type R 4.2 V8... there I said it (and I'm 30). Is this normal doctor or should I take a course of tablets? Have you had any experience of the car?

Looking forward to seeing 325 views and no replies!

Never driven one so can't really comment about the Jag itself, but speaking from experience I fully understand your general urges

Cucci you should remain local & pure. This is a local Z forum for local Z people. If you sell your Z there will be nothing for you here :D
Seriously though, try one.
That's the only way to find out if it's the car for you.
Maybe I ought to. I could buy one & get about 20% off !

S Type R vs M5

Postby stu » Sat 14 Aug, 2004 17:50

Hmmmmmm.....

Jag's auto only but that's the main difference - apart from the fact you should also speak to a few Jag owners about aftersales. Evo like them (both) so you pays your money.

I've been shocked that the BMW dealers are apparently not as bad as Jag dealers

For me it'd be an M5, without the blink of an eye

Let us know (oh and nice people always welcome eh Madiera/Gary/Surj...)

I thinks it's the x type that's based on Mondeo running gear & chasis.

Yep, it's like this tv show on here at the moment called 'Joe Schmo', it's really a quite aweful b-grade mock realitytv show (kinda like the Truman Show in concept) and at the 'tribal council' part of the show the host gets a plate with the contestant face stuck on it who has been voted out and says 'you're dead to us' and then smashes the plate into a fire place, and then the contestant is off the show. Hmmm, I suppose you'd have to see it:P

 Ok ok I give in.... actually, went with the good lady to a jag dealer this weekend and she nearly cancelled the evening's enjoyment :? Then, as we turned out of the dealer forecourt, two kids stopped walking with their mum and pointed to the Z and watched us drive down the road. The Z was saved, the evening was grrrreat and the Z told me off in her own special way... the glovebox handle came off in my hand.. she's a feisty minx
