Charlotte the Harlot

Post by Bryn »

As of this afternoon Charlotte has found a new home :-)

Mine

I have been in discussions with Giles and Larri for about three weeks now and after checking my BMW credentials and making sure i would be a suitable owner of such a lovely lady they let her go. After arriving at their house, Giles immediately asked if i wanted a test drive but needed to ask twice as i was in shock at seeing such an amazing car in the flesh!! :D I took the lady out with Giles as the passenger and with little encouragement i took her to the red line in third, WOW!!!!!! (or to 70mph, whichever came first officer  ) I have driven more BMW's than most over the last ten years from the M1 to the CSL (both variants) and the only car that has given me the same grin is the CSL so i can understand Giles's thinking.

They were VERY reluctant to sell her and have made me swear that if i ever feel the need to sell her that i give them first refusal, to which i of course agreed. I would just like to thank them both for allowing (and trusting) me to buy Charlotte. You can rest assured that she will be lovingly pampered (probably to the degradation of my marriage  sorry Mel :-))

She will be at Gaydon next week and at the Rutted Toad. You never know Stu, I MIGHT be able to keep up with you on the Dawn raid

Sorry Giles for stealing one of your Photo's but after the drive back i need to spend a few hour cleaning

PS Does anyone want to buy a 3.0l Zed in Silver?????? :? :? :?

Congrats Brynt.

You've done what most others wanted to do.

I'm green. Very green.

But very pleased to hear that she's staying in the 'family'.

Enjoy.
I just KNOW you will.

Alfie.

Bryn

a great purchase not to be regretted!

it will be good to see her in flesh again on Sunday at Gaydon (we'll be there as well) as well as the Rutted Toad (we'll be staying in the same hotels as you), so you can see, we can't let her go either!

ENJOY and see you on Sunday

Both Larri and I are delighted that Charlotte has gone to a loving home :D

In seriousness, selling the car was not the easiest of decisions by any stretch of the imagination and actually seeing her finally leave our drive this afternoon was a very sad moment indeed.

Charlotte has given both of us a never-ending grin, each time we even just looked at her. Thanks to Charlotte we discovered Rossiters, serious tracking, the world of moding, tuning and very stiff suspensions and of course speed.....I think it's addiction to this latter 'vice' that finally made the CSL purchase inevitable

Barely run in for the second time, Bryn has a superb car which I know will bring pleasure to all who drive her and see her, just as she did for me and Larri!

At least we'll be seeing The Harlot around that's for sure. And a big thank you to Bryn for helping to make the decision a bit easier, cheers also for ensuring that she will continue to be known as Charlotte!!

Enjoy mate and i'll see you on the road.... 8-)

(As to what occurs re Roadster motoring for us, well let's just say after a certain Lakes trip, 2.2 Z4's hold a VERY special place in my wife's heart...watch this space!)

Well up for it :-) I have to make a detour via the M5 Frankley services to pick up my Bro who is taking the Silver Zed to Gaydon.

Hmm, have they improved the interior enough for you yet Larri? Or maybe your next set of mods could be leather seats, etc.

With all the precise detail Giles and Larri have given us over the last year or so, it feels like Charlotte has anthropomorphized

I'm sure everyone on the forum is jealous of your acquisition and I hope you enjoy her :D

[p.s. anthropomorphized is my new word of the day and I have found an excuse to use it :D
definition - to attribute human form or personality to things not human]

Definately not....a trip to Rossiters will be the first drive my car does  and in the teeny door pockets will be oodles of humble pie for sustenance :roflmao:

BTW don't hold your breath peeps, I've been waiting over two years for my horsebox :shake:

Bryn - we are really chuffed for you and know that our baby has found a home where she'll be truly appreciated....it was funny to realise that you'd never actually seen her before buying

 Knowing the CSL-like money Giles has spent on Charlotte of l8 (the only ZM I know that has had more moolah spent on her than M 8LUR, bar perhaps B16 MRP) and you have in essence a barely run in new S54 MR and, in all fairness, is most likely the tidiest ZeeM in the country right now..

Giles.. yer mad... Larri who could u let him...

BTW if you wonder where the ACS bonnet badge came from.. that was from me.. Giles.. you owe me £10...

Best to all.

I'd like to think it is equally the tidiest, but love her like she deserves and you'll always have a top car.

Is he a kept man?
Should we know more????
Is that where Nancy's pocket money went????
