Call for site funding
Given the problems we've experienced with hackers, the plan is to migrate the forum to another format, either the later version of pbpBB, or alternatively VBulletin which is something I would need to buy a licence for.
In the meantime I've been hit with a bill from the ISP (Active 24) for over £1100, some of which predates the last load of problems with the site. I'm hoping to negotiate this down but could do with some contributions to help out...
If you wish to help, please send a contribution (£10?) by PayPal to REMOVED, please quote your board name so I know who to acknowledge.
Many thanks

Mod Edit: PAYPAL ADDRESS REMOVED AS NO LONGER CURRENT

Paypal gift sent.
If you need any assistance with the tech side, I'd be happy to lend a hand - php and mysql have recently become part of my day job.
If Giles is up for it again this year, then hopefully we will be running another calendar fund raiser later this year.
Best regards,
Robert

I have an element of 'M-styling' on my car, If that's a good enough reason for the manufacturers to adorn a 320 with the M badge, then its certainly a good enough reason for me..
Hi Tim,
I'm a noob to z3s (just bought shanty's) but do own two colocated servers.
I'd be happy to host this site for free and would be able to help with the migration from your current isp FOC.
I've been hosting and developing sites for nearly as long as I've been driving so give me a shout if you need anything at all.
Perhaps this way any donations (after paying your crazy huge bill) could goto that vbulletin license rather than ongoing hosting costs,
Tris.

Many thanks to those who have donated so far.
For those who have asked for alternatives to PayPal, it isn't necessary to open a PayPal account, you can charge the amount directly from PayPal to your credit card.
Click on this link: https://www.paypal.com/cgi-bin/webscr?c ... UFKH9ZP89W
Under 'Don't have a PayPal account?', click on 'continue'.
1. You enter your name.
2. You are asked for your credit card, email address, and phone number.
3. And afterwards, if you wish, you can save this information to create a PayPal account. But if you don't want to, you don't need to.
The advantage of using PayPal is that your credit card info is never released to whomever you are sending funds.
Cheers
Tim

donation completed.
Donation sent in 1 minute by Paypal. Quickest £20 I've ever spent but when you realise the wealth of information, facts, tips, personalities, photos, laughs etc etc etc, this site and it's members are worth every penny.
Best wishes to all,
