Which forum? It's normal to have some of the forum's subject areas restricted to certain users...?

Spokey,

Mr Tim is referring to the "BMW Car Club and Z Register" section.

I am not sure what the deal is with this as the description on the forum of "Discussion of anything to do with the BMW Car Club. Viewing and posting limited to Z Register members" doesn't match the response you get when you try to enter. I am a member of the BMWCC and the Z register, but I can't get into it.

I sent a message to the mods once, but never got an answer :(

How about it mods, what the deal here ?

Only the Webmaster has powers to unlock the door to this fantastic forum!

But you need to tell him your BMWCC membership number and pay your £1 to be a member of the Z Register then your name will turn green and the door will be opened :P

It's well worth the £1

Seriously though, it's just a forum specific to BMWCC and Z Register members. In the same way that BMWCC members get a bi-monthly magazine and those that arn't members do not - no secrets honest!

(I'm not aware of ANY forums being for the use of Moderators only :puzzle: - anyhow I'd get pretty bored very quickly if I could only talk to Tim and Phil  )

Thanks for the info Giles,

Sorry, I thought this process was automatic. I joined the BMWCC and the Z Register while back and paid my dues. Since I have never been granted access, and the message you get says for mods only, I figured it must be something else.

BTW, the Z Register is £5 and you can now join inline at the BMWCC web store.

I'll send a mail to the webmaster right away.

Sorry Simon, but the process is a bit antiquated. Every so often the BMW Car Club office sends me lists of new members and I then update the details of anyone who's already on the forum.

I've now changed your details.

Giles last time i looked it was £5 to join the registers, do you know something I dont? by the way when the Z register was first set up it was a £10 joining fee, and they did not even get a register sticker in those days ( so Barry Gorse (black Z1) keeps telling me)
Tim can we sort Barry out a register sticker some time might keep him quiet for a while :D Yes he is a member in fact one of the founder members of the register.
