Would you buy a Z2
Would you buy a Z2
Some details here in Car Magazine albeit artist impressions and some years off as yet

If it came out this year, I would definitely be interested as pricewise its right on the nail as an affordable roadster and preferable to the MX5. My only reservations it looks tiny against the 1 Series so probably MX5 size which might be a little too small. Will also be front wheel drive and only in 4 cyl guise to keep costs down but for me not the end of the world. Looks great if anything like in the pics
Tim.

Sad but true (for most people).car mag wrote:We're now about to find out if Joe Bloggs really gives a stuff about which axle is driven. We suspect they won't.
I had been looking forward to a smaller Z to replace my Z3 with later in life, as I find the Z4 a bit too lardy for my taste, but if what's written is true, I think the next toy will be an MX-5.
Shame that people that bought BMWs for the drive and not for the badge will now look elsewhere (towards the heathen Mercedes perhaps) lol
The Z2 does look very pretty, but thats not all a car is about.
I find that when BMW introduce a new car, it takes me about 5 years to get used to it! Took me ages to get used to the E60 5 Series, but I love them now. Not sure the same can be said for the recent facelift to the 5 though...
Maybe this one will grow on me in time. But for now, I'd keep the money in the bank and keep the old Z3 running a bit longer!

Have to say its really not doing it for me going from what ive seen. And whats all this about front wheel drive? To me this looks like a car for someone who dosnt appreciate driving, feeling the road, hard suspension etc, i reckon this will be a real soft ride compared to the basic, raw ride you get in the 3's
Im sure it will be a lovely car.... but personally, i dont want lovely, i'll keep my roadster
