Farewell

Post by RobBruce »

I have to say a sad adieu.

I know I haven't been too active on the site for a while (except for some behind the scene modding), but it's time for me to move on.

Shalini and I have finally, after 4 years of effort, managed to obtain our Immigration Visas for Canada. We leave for a new life on Tuesday!

I will miss the Zroadster crowd. I have made some life-long friends on here, and had some fantastic driving and social experiences that will stay with me forever - the Isle Of Man trip, Nurburgring, Super Sausage runs and many 'Spokey specials'.

I'll try to pop in and out of the site occassionally, but don't ask me to keep up to date with the modding! lol

Best wishes to you all - keep Zedding! :)

Do they not have the internet in Canada?

Don't be a stranger, Rob, and even though I've never managed to meet you, you'll still be missed around here.

All the best for your new life across the pond. :)

Hi and Goodbye and good luck in your new adventure.

Always liked your "tag line" - will you be PNC'ing over the water (or the Canadian equivalent) or is it a whole new adventure for you?

Thanks for all the nice comments :)

No, I'm not going to going the police in Canada (just yet). I had back surgery in October and it will take a long time to get up to 'fighting strength' again. We will hopefully both start jobs in a similar line of work in April.

We are moving to Alberta. Working in Calgary (cow town), living just south in a town called Okotoks about 30 mins from the Rockies.

In the words of Kid Rock "I'm headin' out west sucker, cos I wanna be a Cowboy, baby" 8-)

Not sure if 6 months of snow is Zed-beneficial, but I'm happy to be proved wrong!

Very best of luck to you and Shalini mate. You really deserve some success.

We're so sorry we didn't get together with you before your departure.

Looking forward to keeping up to date with all your news and photos from a completely different world.....

It's been a pleasure to know you both and I hope we can manage a social when you come back for a visit.

(Or maybe one day, we'll get to visit you...!)

Best wishes.

Alfie and Di.

TGFT. For some reason a strange picture of you as a Mountie popped into my head when I read that! Personally I blame garythefish for any thoughts of people in jodhpurs. I'm still in therapy from his last posting of THOSE pics! :P
