Hi guys going to arrange a meet at Rutland water on the 5th june.
just wondering how many people may be up for the meet.

plan is to meet at Normanton park hotel on Rutland water for drink/coffee then a drive around the local area then back to the hotel.

Shall probably make it a bring your own lunch meet as its quite short notice for people and the hotel.
could even arrange to stop on the drive for us all to have lunch/picnic.. so bring your flask and sandwiches.. ;-)

If people are interested please let me know and i'll get it arranged fully.

It's a nice cruise in itself heading over your way as I can stay off the motorway most of the route.

Sounds great Liam.
Put me down mate. I've been to the Normanton hotel before and it's a lovely place. Especially at the back with great views from the deck and the roads round there are great too.

I found I generated a bit of interest by advertising the cruise I'm organising in my signature, as it then shows on all my posts!

Also if you PM Phil he may add you to the announcements on the front page of the website. All helps to get the message out there.

Its great to meet like minded people... had my first meet in march at the wakefield meet.. was brilliant putting faces to cars and having a good old chin wag about our cars and interests.. and having driven 282miles round trip that day it was an absolute cracker of a day and id do it again in a heart beat...

fingers crossed for dry weather so we can have a nice drive also... cant wait to see your zeds in the flesh, i'll make sure we get plenty of pics and erge you to bring your cameras also ;-)

Mark, no problem i'll arrange with you to meet in the morning.. hope you'll have all the jobs done on your M// by then?? ;-)

Hi Guys, Just a recap really..
Meet time for sunday will be 10.30 - 11am
We`ll have coffee/tea at the normaton then probably walk down to the church on rutland water to have lunch/sandwiches :wink:

as theres not really anywhere to stop for picnic on the drive... and its a great site for people who havent been to Rutland water...

Ive planed our route to take in some great country roads passing through some lovely villages... The route is around 60miles long and after driving it twice the past two days 8-)

it`ll take around 1 to 1-1/2 hours to drive...

We start at the Normanton, head anticlockwise and end up back at the Normanton....

I have printed copys of the map to give to you all so if we get spilt up you`ll have an idea of the route.. I`ll of course wait ahead if i cant see you all in the rear view mirror...

Would you please try to make sure you have enougth fuel and drinks for the drive on arrival... would save alot of hastle before we set off..

Then We end up back at the Normanton for drinks.... :wink:

If you dont want to join the drive then your more than welcome to wait at the Normanton and just relax and take in the views :wink:
