A great gathering of cars. Shame about the weather - showery and windy - but it was nice to catch up with old friends (some getting very old) and with new members alike.
Well done to ZedCarer for getting everyone to Boroughbridge on time and to Titan for leading the impressive procession of 33(?) Zeds on the world's slowest cruise to Newby Hall.
Next time, a short drive and early-doors meal afterwards??

Yeh it was a good day but the weather just tainted it slightly. I was great to meet up with everybody again and just made me realise what I am missing so made my mind up I am coming back to the fold just a question of when and with what.

What a great day - well OK the weather could have been a bit better but we did manage top down driving all the way from Ferrybridge.
Nice to meet up again with friends old and new - a big thanks to everyone for getting to Ferrybridge and Wetherby on time for the run there. Pity about the van after Sherburn but at least it was a bit faster than Titan's tractor
Just a few photos from the day - hopefully others will post better ones. Hope that everyone had safe journeys home - felt very lonely driving back in a convoy of one

Well Val And I had a fab time today.Great to put faces to forum handles.
We were pretty gobsmacked at all the Zed,s arriving together into Morrisons in Borroughbridge.
Hey Titan wish I was sat in your drivers seat on the way home today,Would have loved to have heard the exhaust note of that silver car passing you....P.S The stone guards are still on,Thanks for that.
Pics to follow....later on.
May we come out to play next time you get together.
Many thanks again to all we had a really good day.

Yet again, what a Great day we have had with you guys.
Even better was having W8KSB washed and I was taught how to do Claying by the Master - even though I had to do it myself !!!
Then when I got home, I did the rest of the boot lid (waxed it too).
The difference of looks (and sound) of running my hand between the boot lid & the adjoining rear wing was astounding. The boot lid is like glass, unlike the wing.
Last year was my first at Newby and I went away cleaning the engine bay of 75,000 miles of dust. This year I am going away to bring up the bodywork.
Thanks guys for the encouragement and know how.
Angus

Here are some pics from me... not going to put comments on them all they're self explanatory.
They range from a shocking picture of wasted Choccie buttons but I still got a huge box full to
General catching up by ZRoadster members
Zeds for as far as you can see
Some straight(ish) parking
Some lessons on claying your car
and a selection of other cars on display including a rather dirty R8 (I'd would still have taken it home if offered ) and a little car hiding under a tree.
The purple TVR is for Gill
Had a lovely day, despite the changeable weather.
Drove all the way home with the top down and arrived home feeling absolutely BATTERED by the wind, every few miles I think a little tornado developed in the cab of Zippy and the wind SMACKED me in the face.
I certainly wasn't going to fall asleep at the wheel.
Apparently predicted stronger winds tomorrow, be safe anyone driving in it tomorrow..
See you all again soon..... now where are my buttons

Great Day out yesterday, Shame about the weather,
especially when the all week polish job was sabotaged by the wash coming off the lorries that we flashed past on the A1.
Really enjoyed the drive in the convoy from Ferrybridge to Newby, it was very exhilerating.
It was interesting talking to everyone and thanks to Titan, for showing
us the plate that identified our Mora Metallic Z as an individual limited editon.
Having seen all of the other Zs, we now know what a polished job we have to aspire to!!!
Thanks to Zedcarer for being so caring and for being such a good guide of the Yorkshire countryside to Newby.
We hope to see you all again soon.

I've no idea but whatever the answer is it might present a future challenge 'Titan wrote:Good question and one I was thinking about asking toobrilie wrote:thanks for making us feel welcome driving in a convoy of 33 zeds was great what is the highest number of zeds you have ever had??
Does anyone with a long memory know of a longer convoy?
If I do it again I need to mount a rear facing video camera as there would have been some great moments on the run to Boroughbridge with all the Zeds in a group.

I *think* there were approx 50 of our zeds in a convoy at Dunsfolda couple of years ago. Hi Gill
I'd really love to come to Walney and every other cruise/meet that comes up for that matter but my shifts mean weekends off are a bit of a rarity
I console myself with the fact that days off in the week means I have the 'scenic' roads a little more to myself.
Have a great weekend next week - I'll be on a 1500 - 0100hrs shift

Well I THINK Dot managed to get a picture of nearly every Z
Other than ZC Can you spot yourself
It was great to see old faces again, and lots of new ones too
Unfortunately the weather wasn't too conducive to socialising
I tried to speak to everyone but apologise if I missed you
And if anybody still needs stoneguards there are a few sets left

Are you a possible candidate for mid-week secret cruises in Yorkshire thengelertd1 wrote:Hi Gill
