Condensation in side indicator......

Post by Warrior »

As heading, plus the same in the left front spoiler spotlamp.

Before I get the 12" screwdriver and 6lb hammer out on these can anybody point me to an idiot sheet or advise how these are fitted and if it's new rubbers or something that are needed?

This is for the foglights.

Prise out finisher panel, remove 2 bolts and disengage pin at outboard end of foglight.

Here is what TIS says.Read from Roadster on.

Once removed from car it is obvious how to dismantle to clean glass and reflector.

As for the indicators,do you mean the wing repeaters or the main front indicators in the headlights. If its the main front indicator, the headlight must be removed and heated in an oven to separate the lens from the back shell.
If its the repeater follow TIS,

Ok............I took off the indicator, left it to dry out completely, cleaned everything up as best I could and put it back on again. 2 days later, full of condensation again.

The rubber seal looks ok but unless anybody has other ideas my next step will be to replace it(I note that the indicator glass and bulb holder are one piece and could probably leak)

When the car is new there is a large black plastic cover which attatches to the back of the light cluster, this is to stop water getting in.. Do you have these?
On my car I have one missing but, so far no problems. I think the cars with the power wash headlamps are the most vulnerable to water ingress. Hope this helps
