I thought I'd start a thread so people can list their favourite routes for driving their Z3s. Be it scenic, fast road, non-bumpy (do these exist in the UK?) or full of hairpins - feel free to tell us all where you love to go for a blast!

This way, when you're in a different neck of the woods, someone might have listed a really great drive that you could experience, which you'd otherwise not know about.

I've not been far in mine since buying it, but I do like the drive from Macclefield to Buxton, over the peak district. Plenty of bends and the scenery is great.

It you are ever in West Sussex, theres a road called 'The Bostal' running across the South Downs between Sompting and Steyning. Its a perfect road if you go from the Sompting end, high up, beautiful Sussex downs views, good long view way ahead for any on-coming traffic. Valleys sloping down away from you either side. Great winding bends and stonking straights!

Pure magic. Its as if it were designed for a Zed 8-)

I thought that the whole of the RoadZ section was for posting up your favourite routes.

BTW Macc to Buxton (aka the Cat and Piddle) used to be better before it got the 50 mph blanket limit on it - it is usually too busy to have much fun on now - you can't even reach 50 mph on it.

It's interesting how different the character of the Evo triangle is depending on which way round you go.

My favourite roads in UK are all in or around the Yorkshire Dales. Sunday morning, in the car at 6am or earlier in summer.

Ingleton to Hawes is awesome, a brilliant combination of fast sweepers, jumps, hairpins, etc. Stop for a bacon buttie in Hawes.

Then over to Buttertubs Pass and to Tan Hill. Some insane hairpins at the start, and crazy climbs and descents, the pass is mainly singletrack with plenty of sheep around, but when you get to the Tan Hill Inn, turn right through the pub carpark and stop on the left on the gravel at the top of the hill. The view is simply breathtaking over the Dales, almost savannah like in summer.

Bit further NE around Hexham, Alston, are also simply stunning roads, with the road down to Middleton in Teesdale also awesome. MIT or Alston are great places to stop for lunch, picture postcard villages. Then down to Brough, Kirkby Stephen and Sedburgh.

Love this whole area, you know the good roads are about to start when you cross a cattle grid!

Second that, the tan hill road is awsome. Also have to agree with Taffzee about the Evo Triangle.

Yes the cat fiddle was a great road as was the congleton road but when you use cat road itake short cut down Wildboarclough.it cuts the 50 mph cameras out ?
