For sale - Storm Motorwerks V1 Gear Knob

Post by TaffDaddy »

For sale a Storm V1 gearknob, stainless steel with the M engraving, as new. Over 500g of solid steel, really smooths the gear changes. Looks and feels superb.

The reason for sale is that I've been looking for a handbrake handle, as I already have a gearknob on the car, and found someone who was selling both as a pair.

I am looking for £60 posted.

I will add photos if required as I've just received it today and not had chance to take any. It will come with the fitting allan key.

Does it have the gears engraved also? If so is it 5 speed or 6 speed?

Would love to fit mine but can't get the original BMW one off. I have tried pulling as much as I might and I am no weakling plus others have tried but it won't budge and don't really want to destroy it.

Anybody any ideas ?

Aceman - it is quite annoying because you think it'll break. Try banging it down first a few knocks. It might break the seal if it's jammed. Then pull up. I had a standard BMW chrome M one and that did the job for me.
Hope it helps

Cheers Naeem,

My previous zed came off no problems in fact I accidently pulled it off when originally viewing it when I was playing around with the controls fortunatly the trader had his back turned but I bet the expression on my face was a picture with a gearknob in my hands. :D

I will give it a go and see if it will come off this time.

Believe me I have done more twisting and pulling than in a 60's nightclub where even Chubby Checker couldn't get it off.

omg, it took me 5 seconds to pull mine off, but this could be because it may have been removed by the previous owner.

The Storm v1 sits soo nicely and looks amazing, will have pics up soon on my thread.
