Depends if you like watching various members arguing and getting overly personal over their differing opinions.

Don't think anyone has been banned, I think Gary & Phil found the volume button. Rather unusual for the mods to have to do anything around here. :bow

Vic-Z3, you are an idiot.
You started this thread and obviously enjoyed the happy ending, I find that strangely perverse to be honest.

Now waiting to be nuked or banned by the mods.

Who were they? - :?:

Fun is one thing but when it gets abusive and personnal thats not on.
We dont enjoy banning people and over the years I've been on here there are probably around a dozen.

Well I'm happy one member is no more as got fed up reading the whinges about their Zed and the dumbing down of the 1.9. Whilst owners are entitled to their opinions on their ownership experience it started to become a little tiresome, especially when remarks are made on a forum dedicated too enthusiasts.

I don't think I saw all of what went on (just one thread about induction) but two of them certainly seemed to make the thread personal. I even stopped reading the thread as it got boring.

shame was they both made some good points and seemed pretty knowledgeable about a lot of the factual points they were making. I guess some people just can't accept another persons right to have their own point of view and then it started to get personal.

Both could have added to the forum but in the great scheme of things neither will be missed either

Personally what makes this forum what it is is the way its policed by the admin. You just know that people will be allowed to get away with so much and if they carry on they get banned for the greater good of the forum. I've got no problem with that at all. You can't please all of the people all of the time but if you can please the majority for most of the time your doing a good job in my book.

I think this thread in itself shows how infrequently someone actually gets banned on here, when it does happen its a discussion point in itself :D

I run a forum myself (nothing to do with cars) with 12000 members and an average number of PC log-ins per day in excess of 1800.

In 5 years i've banned about 30 people, some of them several times and have to say it's a bit like prison. All learn a little bit, some you can't help and some you have to put to the sword.

I always left the door open for their return as within the crap was often a lot of good sound advice. Those with biggest mouths shout loudest and all that...

PS: I was banned from Holiday Truths. Beat that

Lol.......I thought I was right, but fired up a few of the Spanish winter expats on the general forum.

My statement.............in response to somebody who was moaning about people parking in disabled spaces at diy stores, was that whilst i agreed I thought it worse when somebody displayed a disabled sticker yet was able to carry a lawnmower under one arm and a step ladder under the other and was quite capable of walking another 20 yards.

If you remember the programme 15 to 1, that's what it was like... :D :bawl:
