We will be attending this meet on the Sat. & Sunday so far, but will need to know the day the Zed's get together, will it be the Fri?

Am I right in assuming the track will be used on the Sat. & Sun for some sort of classic car racing? Just wondering how they would get our Zed's on a parade on those days as that would take some organising.

Was there on the Saturday this year when they did the 50th anniversary of the E-type Jaguar - just under 1,000 of them paraded round the track - was an awesome sight and was done during the "lunch break" interval between races.

-UPDATE-
There will be a full page ad with details in the January edition of the BMWCCGB magazine so I don't want to trump that. Suffice to say for now that you can plan for the main day being Saturday 21 July with a parade lap for zeds at approx 6pm (there is a break in the racing schedule to allow for this). You can see what else the Silverstone Classic has to offer here

When will non BMWCC members be likely to find out the details for this event?

It appears from previous posts that Special Deal Tickets have been available from the 1st December but nothing has been officially announced with regard to where these tickets are available or what tickets are required.

For example will a standard entry ticket to the Silverstone Classic grant the ticker holder entrance to the Z stand or Track parade?

go to www.silverstoneclassic.com and all your questions will be answered. With regards to the members of bmwccgb they have a write up in January magazine offering discounts as a member

It doesn't actually answer any questions, in fact there is no mention of the BMWCC in the Car Club Celebrations & Displays section. There is a link for booking a Car Club Display package but this requires a club booking code.

Thanks for trying but I'll be taking Phil's advice and waiting to book my tickets.

I do have info and promotion code but would prefer it if Ian did the liaison as he is organising this for the BMWCC.
Also the timing is better coming from him when he is good and ready to give you chapter and verse.
So just be patient -- there will be plenty of space and remember we want 500 zeds.

Why is this thread headed June 2012 - Z Fest when it's happening on July 21st - (the opening day of the Olympics and first day of the school hols)? I'd kept June clear ....... now it's a non-starter.

Yes shopping done, no mince pies yet though, love mince pies. :)

Have a good Christmas Ray, maybe we can meet for lunch in the New Year. :cheers
