Aceman, I'm not sure if this is something you can help with but I purchased a set of the nylon bushes from you about 12-18 months ago and only just got around the fitting them.
As it turned out, my original BMW bushes looked absolutely fine but I replaced them for peace of mind. The nylon ones are now in and the seat still rocks as it did before, I can only assume the problem is somewhere else within the mechanism but I can't see how this could be so as everything seems tight... any ideas?
That's a little bizzare but then again the fact that you say the original bushes looked ok does seem to point to something else in the mechanism. Without looking myself I can't think what else could cause it off the top of my head but I still have to do my ///M in the next few weeks so when I do I will keep mind of your problem and see if I can figure out what may be causing them to still rock. Just a thought when you fitted the bushes did you make sure they were a snug fit (ie. did you have to sand them down slightly to fit)??
I will be interested to know though if you find the answer beforehand.
Cheers aceman, got my bushes in Spain in just over a week. Took about an hour to do drivers side using earthworm jim's guide (piece of p##s!) didn't disconnect the battery and had the radio on (reset the airbag light with resetting tool bought on e-bay for about 20 quid!) the original crappy rubber ones have lasted for almost 15 years, so these nylon ones should last forever! Sanded the first ones down by hand, took about 15 mins and thought sod that and got the belt sander out and did the second two in about 2 mins! Cheers again!
