That only leaves the seats and carpets to refurb then Gazza. :) I'd just like the rain to stop for a bit so I can do a bit more polishing on mine or even just to drive it with the roof down. :(

Ah, but what about under the boot lid, the inside of the glovebox and behind the sound deadening under the bonnet? Pfft this is just one of those quick slap over 'buff up' jobs isn't it? :D

G let me know how you get on with the soft top. If all goes well will get both of mine done.
The longest I have ever kept a car before is 4 years from brand new. Have had Toadster 6 years now and Sharky 5 and neither were new but still love them both

Something I love about seeing a car in primer...maybe it's the expectation of things to come. Nice to know all those little dings and scratches have been sorted under a fresh coat of paint.

I thought I knew my car very well, I didn't realise there were so many dings and dents, the only panel that doesn't need work is the bootlid.

The wheels went into Lepsons for refurb on Thursday, had a call today and they are ready for collection

Wow! Looking good with the clearcoat on now. I'd forgotten how much I like the painting process, though putting the paint on is the fun bit...the prep certainly isn't, but it's got to be good as this obviously is. I'm going to spray the hardtop on my Z3 to get back in the swing of it now I've seen yours. :)

Looking good now. If you put the protective film on the bonnet/front end, then be aware that it's quite visible to see where it stops IMHO. On a Z3 I reckon you'd need to cover the whole bonnet so you don't have an ugly line where it stops.

The other option is to keep in front of other cars so they can't throw grit and stones into your car. :D

One of our members has the film, on the bonnet it covers about a 1/3, the edge isn't visible from the front but is noticable if you look hard enough.

I've seen it on some TVRs I was looking at and I can't help spotting the edge myself. I think that's my paintwork OCD kicking in though...years of spraying cars and I can't help but spot defects. :head: I don't know how much it costs to get done though, maybe it's much cheaper than a respray as I presume you have it replaced every few years or so?
