Z3 2.8 97 - Clutch kit/flywheel

Postby Kenan » Tue 22 May, 2012 21:43

Hi guys,

Just bought a Z3 with 128k on the clock!

I'm new to the Z3 world but I currently own 2 e36's (soon to be sold) and 2 e30's in the family so pretty much an old skool BMW guy!

Does anyone have a good setup for the clutch/flywheel?
So far i've managed to source an LUK clutch kit for £110 from ECP, and have found a dual mass LUK flywheel for £260 on ebay.

Does anyone know how to get a cheaper flywheel (new ofcourse), or even upgraded/lightened flywheels for similar prices?

Thanks for the help!

Kenan.

I believe E39 M5 kits fits fine if you're looking for upgrade.

Otherwise, try negotiating with GSF or Eurocapparts.

Is the flywheel a consumable part? Or is it just prudent to change it with the clutch?
