New 61 registrations released today

Postby simonbud100 » Mon 06 Jun, 2011 17:04

Just for info, the new "61" plates are released for sale by the DVLA today. Not much use unless you are waiting to take delivery of your new Z4 I know, but there is always retention for a few years if you spot your ideal number.

I bet those two go to DVLA auction, rather than on general sale.

I can't remember who has the Jaguar, but JA61ESS (jagless) is available for £405.

EN61AND went for £12k. Who'd want that on their p&j   ?

Probably bought by Jock McTavish just to keep it on retention :D .

Agree - some of those are mediocre to say the least.
My wife, MARISE, has a superb plate on her car, bought at DVLA auction.

It's MAR 15E

No need to alter spacing or corrupt in anyway - it just spells her name.

If I ever see either of those plates on a car they'll be getting a swift submission to this thread

They're absolutely meaningless unless you're going to start sticking screws where they shouldn't be...

Was that the auction just gone Phil?

I picked up BOW 5S for a song, just about my perfect plate :)

61 also gives me some options when combined with 'LES'....

New 61 registrations released today

A bloke I know has CAT 5 and he received a phone call from Andrew Lloyd Webber who offered him 50,000 quid for it, but he turned it down! Don't know how much he paid for it originally though but I know what I would have done.
