1998 2.8 Yellow Stuff Front Pads

Postby spurs fan in a coupe » Wed 11 Jul, 2012 19:59

Just as title suggests, I'm looking for new front pads, currently have red stuff pads and cheap drilled and grooved discs.

Ive decided on Yellow Stuff pads and Pagid solid/vented discs

Does anyone know what the part number is for these? I have looked and contacted Demon Tweeks. They say the 1998 depends on exactly when it was built, I thought all were the same! They say EBCDP31211C

Can anyone help?

Recommendations on discs welcome too.

I am looking for something similar, but what is wrong with the Red Stuff pads? For disks, I have been using the Brembo Max disks that are the same price as the Pagid disks on Eurocarparts and have just 4 grooves. They are a good quality subtle alternative to race disks and don't need warming up. Found them on ebay.

Here are some front pads from a family member's Z4M Coupé. Note the missing friction material. :head:

I decline to name the maker except in PM because a claim for new discs and pads is under way.

The 'colour' is irrelevant if the bond between the friction material and the backplate fails...
