I haven't received my tickets yet :(

Over the coming days I'll post up some more details on the zed register area and how many zeds you can expect to be parked up with. We have plenty of space so I'd encourage all BMWCCGB members to participate.

Apparently the tickets are being sent out in bulk, few weeks time.

Zeds are usually very well represented at Gaydon

Is this a good show? Think I may wonder there...

Do Zroadster not bother with a form of car stand?

Sometimes even the carpark has a good display of nice BMW's that is without the ones on display.

I've ordered my ticket.

When you book you have a choice of where to display your car ie Zeds, your region, ///M's (if you have one ;-). I always park with the zeds :D

I've been the last 2 years and it is a great day. If you've never been to the heritage museum it worth the visit alone and you get free entry and are always parked close by the entrance to it ;-)

Do zroadster have a display area for the cars in the car park in front of the Museum entrance?

And can you display your car in that area if you are not a BMW club GB member?

I'm not aware that zroadster.net have requested or organised a display area. If you want to display a zed in the BMWCCGB Z Register area then you need to be a club member and registered in the Z-Register.

We don't have a display area, we usually park up with the others in the zed section.

Z Register display arrangements

Post by Ian_C »

If you've got a Z Register area display pass then take a look at the following to orientate yourself ready for this coming Sunday.

This sketch shows where the Z Register area is in relation to other models:
Image

...and this is how we will park the zeds this year. The numbers on the cars are to indicate the order of arrival parking - they DO NOT relate to the number on your display pass!
Image

I'll be on site from approx 8am to direct you all. As with zedfest please make every attempt to park in a straight line as it makes the pictures look so much better

Noticed this last minute - never made it in the past so thought i would come check it out this sunday in my s54mZ3.
What's the best course of action, just turn up, pay and park anywhere?
Is it too late to get an advance ticket and to be able to park with all the Zeds?

Hi Hylts. Yes, it is too late to get an advance ticket however you can pay on the day and park in the public car park (which often resembles a BMW car park anyway!) Come along to the z register area and say hello, it's always good to put a face to a forum name :thumb:

Would be nice to have your S54 to boost the S54 numbers, give the BMWCC a call, you may be able to pay on the phone and collect the tickets on the day

Yes it was a great day and nice to meet up with a few forum members.

Would be interesting to see the final photo of the 'zed of zeds' taken from the cherry picker and also the time-lapse video which was also running on it from 9:00am.

Absolutely fantastic day - saw a few cars in the ZED's location that I recognised - Gazza.

I foolishly entered my Z4M coupe in the concours - so was disappointed not to be with me mates in the ZED's area, but will be next year as the stress of the concours was too much - especially when they found three minute dings in the front passenger side wing which I knew absolutely nothing about!!!!

Still I managed to come away with second in class and also Best Z trophy - obviously it was not the best Z there at all, just the best Z entered into the car cleaning competition.

So next year we will be bringing both UK based Z's and will join our friendly Z's in the ZED area.

Nice to meet and chat with those of you that we met and chatted with yesterday.

made it in the end, however could only get there really late, though pro was that i could drive all the way in even though i had no area pass, found what was left of the zeds and spotted the gazza and blueM plates, however no-one around so didn't meet the drivers but maybe you spotted mine parked up when you left. lots of nice beemers and knowledgable ppl to chat to - museum cars were interesting too.

Some of us were sitting in a group behind the back row of Zeds, sorry we missed you :(

Here's the time lapse of the 'zed of zeds'. Not bad for a first attempt and definitely something we can refine next year. Many thanks for your patience whilst parking up :thumb:
