CITP Lotherton Hall September 16th UPDATED 07-09

Post by Zed Carer »

The replacement for the usual Harewood meet is at Lotherton Hall on 16 September.

Tickets need to be ordered through Cars in the Park but payment (£3 per person) will be made on entry with the ticket providing a discount off the usual entry price.

The convinient meeting points would be:

Ferrybridge Services - arrive 09:00 depart 09:30

Sherburn Church for those just rolling out of bed and into the car!

At Lotherton Hall for those going straight there.

UPDATE 07-09:
Chris (the guy who runs CITP) has sent out emails saying that groups that want to park together need to arrive together so it looks like there won't be any designated parking by group this time. No problem as long as there is room at Lotherton for those going straight there to wait for the group coming from Ferrybridge. As for timing display cars can arrive from 09:00 but must arrive by 12:00 at the latest so our proposed meeting times are OK.

It would help if those attending could please indicate whether they are going either to Ferrybridge or straight to Lotherton.

Gentle Bump as I might need help eating the flapjack :D

Just printed off my ticket - remember that you need the ticket to qualify for the discounted entry rate of £3 per person payable on arrival.

So far 4 BMW-Roadsters are showing as being registered with CITP for this event.

Looks like you and deano1712 will be starting a "Who has driven the shortest distance?" contest then. :D

For those of us who live a bit further away Ferrybridge Sevices would make a good meeting place and wouldn't need to be that early as it's only a short run from there to Lotherton Hall.

We could allways walk down and save some petrol but that sort of defeats the object. How about meeting up at the entrance and driving in together

For those that are travelling any distance Ferrybridge is the best initial meeting point and the route we use to Newby goes down Lotherton Lane. I also get to top up my Costa points :D

I agree that those who live closer / or are going straight there can wait at the entrance so we all go in together. I don't think that are enough of us yet to ask Chris to arrange a ZRoadster section - hopefully more will sign once they've stopped watching the Olympics :D

Yes it's unfortunate that it clashes with Santa Pod - still we don't know yet if the BMW Harewood event that was postponed will still go ahead so there might yet be another Yorkshire event.

Hi,

Just booked tickets for this one, it is showing 8 zeds attending at the moment.

There are only 126 cars registered altogether so far, I think people may be waiting to see what the weather brings, although it is free to book!

Well, I've just made it one more.

I will be bringing my new Event Shelter, so provided that it isn't too windy and the council doesn't get overly health and safety concious, we should have somewhere dry to chat.

Quite a lot! It had its first outing to Oulton Park and I have to say it is absolutely massive! I got the 15' (4.5m) one, which means it is big enough to get a zed or a couple of sprites in! It will comfortably hold about 15 people seated (if you bring your own seats), or about 25 standing!

@Bill - I will be heading straight to the show as I am coming down from my parents place - what time are you aiming to hit Lotherton? I will be going straight there, so need an idea of what time I need to set off - I was going to aim for around 10am or a little before. Canopy had an outing to CarFest this weekend and proved useful. It is in the boot of the zed, ready to go.

For those coming to the show, you might like to bring a chair with you.

Cheers R.

Hi Rob: Aim is to leave Ferrybridge by 09:30 so should be at Lotherton by around 09:50. Others that are going straight there are waiting just inside as we need to all go in together if we want to park together. I'll PM you a contact number. Bill

Hi,

I will meet you at Ferrybridge, it is slightly out of my way but easier that trying to find somewhere to meet at Lotherton.

There are 22 zeds showng as attending on the CITP website, that is more than any other car at the moment excet Porsche also on 22. There are 16 TVR, 18 VXR and 19 mx5.

Forecast is looking good at the minute, I think we are on a winner!
