Does anyone here actually have a bog standard, no extras or mods Z3?

Pretty much. Only mods are to retrofit OEM rollhoops and remove the multichanger hump from the boot. I also have an OEM hardtop, fitted when the car was 6 months old. About the only non-standard things on it are the headlamp bulbs (just brighter ones) and the stereo headunit. Everything else is standard or has been replaced with the nearest equivalent to OEM (front springs and seat bushes spring to mind).

The frog on the other hand.... engine, gearbox, suspension... :D

Yeah mine is apart from a stormworks v1 gear knob. Got plans to do various things but i always seem to spend the money on other things. Only other things I've done have been to make it back to standard ie... fix third brake light leak, new aerial grommet and boot loom repair

I have an m roadster with the storm motorwerks gear knob and hand brake handle only.

The rest is standard.

It's staying that way as there are not enough standard ones about.

I think mine is untouched, replacing the interesting rotating gear knob this week but as far as I know she's standard!

If I had the cash available this would not be a long-term situation though! :)

It's made by the company who supplies bmw so it is.

Even though its window is fixed.

But considerably cheaper than bmw.

They don't make oem ones with zipped windows anymore. If you get one from bmw it's old stock.

When they run out it will be fixed window.

Stick that In your pipe and smoke it!

The Mrs Z is stock. Even got a spilt rear original screen in place and perished aerial grommet. Only the stereo has been changed.

Still got the radio/cassette and CD changer in the boot.

Fitted the 17" 5 spoke staggered wheels - these are OEM BMW all marked up and were the option upgrade in '99.

OEM Silver bonnet grills

Brake discs - changed to a set of Textar grooved discs but they are an OE BMW supplier - the Z4 has Textar pads.

The extended blue leather interior was a factory order spec'd by the first owner.

Still got the stock stereo. So it's stock. Then again the oil in it isn't BMW oil, the tyres are Falkens. And it's got more miles on it than it was when it was stock.

And can I ask the OP what the reason for the question was? Is it just to know if one exists?

Maybe you can define your interpretation of 'stock'?

I've no problems with mods, but these cars look just as good standard.

Just not for me, leave it to the young lads who like beer glass size exhausts etc,

They like to parade up and down the east coast sea side resorts.

I had mine jacked up at my dads all weekend and people kept looking at it and I got some great comments.

Ps the comments were for the car not the leather chaps that Liam gave me!

Yes, ok, that is bog standard, but I just wanted to know how many of you out there had just a standard car with NO mods or extras.

''Just a couple of minor cosmetic mods." And as Boysie said " Standard apart from this and that." Is not what I was asking for.

As Benny Hill once said, "Why you ro risson."

Sapphire black/Imola red and black interior/ red roof/ S54 - the only RHD one made.
