Tin number plates

Post by S10OTY »

Hello,

Was wondering whether to get some of the pressed tin number plates for the Z, any info on them guys? know any good places to pick them up, also anyone have them on and have been pulled by the police for them or are the legal versions of them?

Regards

Had mine from eBay something like this.

I don't think you will get pulled for them, unless they are mispaced, but the ones above are legal and come with the correct markings etc to make them legal.

I think they look great and pretty retro on a zed, but only trouble I have found is that the front one likes to gather little tiny dents from stone chips but they are not that noticeable. Obviously plastic plates don't have that trouble.

The black and white/silver ones are illegal unless they are on a vehicle of an appropriate age to wear them - see my sig pic.

Its not the paint chipping away on them Badman, its all the little dents caused by stones hitting them because they are metal :head: Wrapping wouldn't stop the dent's I don't think.

I never realised that my French plates were considered as being retro!
