*wanted drivers side complete wing mirror*

Post by Fozzfox72 »

Hi guys I'm after a complete drivers side wing mirror, electric heated and hopefully ( but not essential ) in Montreal blue metallic !
I have looked at new original at £179.15! Gulp!

Scouring eBay and alike also called a local BMW specialist and he wants £335 fitted. Bigger gulp!!

So guys I need your help, thanks in advance

Fitting is a cinch...door card off to disconnect electrics, and an allen key driver to remove 2 screws...reverse to fit. There's a few on eBay...or try calling Shaun Alexander at Alexanders of Somerset.

Thanks Southernboy!

I have emailed them with details as advised!

Tidy little website which may come in handy in future!

Fitting looks easy appears to be a small 'switch' on the wires to slide in for electrics. Got to be a used one out there somewhere? I called round and some people quoting nearly £400 to fit!

Keep em peeled!

If you are careful you don't need to take the door card off.

Turn the mirror to access the securing bolts remove them, and pull the wire through the whole in the door until the connector comes through. Disconnect the wire and reconnect to new mirror and reattach the mirror to the door.

You have to be lucky and quick to get a second hand mirror as they are like hens teeth

You don't even need to find the connector, the wires can be removed from the back of the mirror motor(they are clearly marked).
