New drop-links and rubber mounts for the rear anti-roll bar. Also some zinc primer and black stone-chip paint to make the anti-roll bar look as good as new again.
Already replaced all 4 shocks, fitted front strut brace and new wishbones – handling should now be grrrreat! – will give the little red car in the video a race up the Stelvio Pass

New windscreen fitted this morning for a bargain £115. Had a nasty scratch, and got mot end of the month, so thats sorted! Also finally got around to replacing the bumper marker light- i thought i had to remove the interior bumper cover to get at it but it turns out not. 5 second job! Ive been procrastinating about that for a couple of months!

Yes - how much? Their web site says absolutely nothing and most of the tabs link to nothing. For me it comes across as second hand car salesman, sign up NOW, double glazing techniques.
Though, I very much want to believe in their product.

John,
The stuff is the best around (around 700 for the front protection)
Seen it in action, and long term test reviews are excellent.

I have been watching various programs and videos over the last year or so about this attaching of skins to vehicles - as you probably know it's often used for advertising. Then I saw Wheeler Dealers do it to a VW van. I immediately stated to think there was a business in offering impact resistant clear plastic to the front of sports cars.
It seems I've been beaten to it!
Oh - much as I'd love to have it done - I can't afford it. I would need to get the front bonnet and bumper, the wing mirrors and the bits at the front of the rear wheel arches re-sprayed first - and then the cost of the covering. It would be eye watering.

4 new Falken 453's, 225/40ZR18 front and 255/35ZR18 rear. £500 fitted & nitrogen filled, all in from a local tyre dealer, not too bad I think.
See what they're like on the way home from work I guess.

Re: What did you buy your Z3 this week ?
Just read this
Nitrogen in car tyres
For passenger car tyres the main claims seem to be:
Less corrosion – because unlike air there's no moisture in pure nitrogen
Slower rate of pressure loss – nitrogen molecules are larger than oxygen molecules
(which make up 21% of compressed air)
Air loss can occur through the inner liner of the tyre as well through the valve, punctures, or failure of the seal between tyre and wheel rim. Pure nitrogen might leak more slowly through the liner, but you would still have to check tyre condition and pressure regularly.
Corrosion of the tyre from using normal compressed air is unlikely anyway because only the outer tread band of a car tyre contains steel – the amount of moisture reaching it from the inside is minimal.
To change to nitrogen you have to have the air already in the tyres removed before the tyres are re-inflated with purified compressed nitrogen. There will be a one-off charge per tyre but once filled with nitrogen, future top-ups would have to be with nitrogen if any advantages are to be maintained.
Overall, while accepting the possibility of purified nitrogen being of benefit in certain applications, we don't think that the cost and possible inconvenience are justified for normal passenger car use.

I have an element of 'M-styling' on my car, If that's a good enough reason for the manufacturers to adorn a 320 with the M badge, then its certainly a good enough reason for me..

A new set of chrome door handle covers, I only needed the passenger lifter cover as the other week I noticed it was starting to tarnish. Mistakenly I thought a quick polish with some Autosol would bring it back up shiny but it made the chrome finish go yellow Anyways swapped the cover out this arvo and back to looking new
So if you have the chrome look covers don't use any abrasive polishes

Picked them up off e-bay, my original ones were I think Wellstar or a similar name which are good quality but couldn't find any for sale. If you do a search for E36 door handle covers they should come up.stupot50 wrote:Where did you get them from TimTitanTim wrote:A new set of chrome door handle covers, I only needed the passenger lifter cover as the other week I noticed it was starting to tarnish. Yep. It's not cheap at $400 USD but it's very high quality. It weighs about 5lbs, but is strong as can be. I wanted a hinge-less design. The company has good customer service as well.Del wrote:That looks like a nice functional brace joining the shortest distance between the two struts in a straight line.barbancourt wrote:Strong Strut front brace (textured Cosmos Black).

You know, before I got my Z, I saw a thread with someone selling these and I thought, "What a joke." But after buying a Z and using the hood release lever quite a bit, this almost seems essential. I always feel as if I am about to break the lever every time I open the dang hood.Brian H wrote:Got me one of these (thanks Terry): -

Re: What did you buy your Z3 this week ?
Doug Whalen from the US of A makes these, see the thread below. He made batches of Aluminium or Black Anodised, send him a PM and see if he has any available.barbancourt wrote:You know, before I got my Z, I saw a thread with someone selling these and I thought, "What a joke."
