Re: exhaust like on z3m
My set-up...I had to have the boot floor altered, and the battery moved from right side to center...and got rid of the spare wheel...
There are other methods of doing this though...as PCSAM has done...It doesn't require moving the battery etc..
As you may notice, I also have fitted a twin eared diff mount....

The additional outlets on that photo looks like it doesn't actually do anything apart from give it the M look

Re: exhaust like on z3m
The ///M rear bumper is a different shape to the standard bumper and does not include a place to mount the numberplate, but it is designed to accommodate the twin exhaust arrangement with two complete silencers and 4 tailpipes.
If you go for the "mock quad" exhaust (which involved less modifications to the car), then you might see the cross-pipe in the centre of the car, as there is no lip like on the standard bumper that you can hide it behind. So the cross-pipe may have to be adapted to sit further back out of sight.
Judging by the amount of work you have already done to your car, you might be better doing the full mod and mounting a second silencer and splitting the pipe further back. On a 1.9 you will only have one pipe from the cat, so you will need a Y-piece to achieve this.
The "mock quad" exhaust pictured looks like only one "real" tailpipe supplies gasses to the other two tailpipes on the other side of the car. Judging by the angles, I wouldn't have though much gas will come out of them, so they are unlikely to change the exhaust note much.
Cheers R.

Re: exhaust like on z3m
That looks like it will hide better - the cross pipe is much further forward out of sight - it also looks like it might actually do something in terms of expelling exhaust gasses and making a bit of noise. The only obvious thing that you will see if you stand directly behind the car is a lack of read silencer on the right-hand side. On the ///M cars the rear silencers are quite prominent when viewed from directly behind.
