Re: wheels again
Usual offset (ET) is 41 so you will have to use spacers to maintain the distance from the suspension

If anyone can answer that without confirming the offset they can fill in my lottery ticketHappypaul wrote:Hi,dont mean to hijack but I have just bought a set of E46 19INCH M3 alloys,,with 225/40/19 255/35/19 tyres,,no idea of offset,,do I need spacers to fit like the above ?

Re: wheels again
You may need negative spacers. These are very rare and are made of unobtainium. If you find some do let us know.
Seriously, you need to check the offsets. Spacers are only any use if you want to move the wheels outwards from the hub. If you need to move them inwards (as the wheel must not stick out beyond the bodywork for it to pass an MOT) then you have no option but to ditch the wheels, unless you're prepared to change the axle for one from a 1.9 pre-facelift.

Re: wheels again
Depends on the width of the wheel, clearance between wheel and suspension etc.
Re: wheels again
If the wheel is the same width, yes to maintain the same clearance on the suspension etcwifevanda wrote:So if we are trying to obtain a offset of 41 and your rims are 50 'we need spacers 9mm ?how I got this right .
