Soon to be Zed owner from Nottinghamshire

Post by SeriousRikk »

Just signed up, figured a hello would be in order!

In the last couple of months I decided I wanted a fun car, something enjoyable and engaging to drive. Up until last year I had a BMW 325ci which was nice, but a bit clinical to drive if I'm honest. Initially I fancied an E30 325i but a few things put me off - and then I saw a Zed and realised what I should have been looking at all along!

So, I will in the next few months, be looking for the right z3 2.8 for me.

Time to start reading buyers guides!

Cheers chaps

Billz - good to know there are a few of us about :)
While the extra power id very appealing, I'm trying to avoid the 3.0 because the one thing about my E46 I didn't like was fly by wire throttle. I know it sounds daft but I just don't like 'em - even though I know they are fine for most folk! :?

A little bird tells me that you have bought zippy's best friend but it is believed he has gone to a good home :D

I like the sound of what you are thinking of doing with Old Zeddy, in keeping with the last owner.

Looking forward to seeing a progress thread hopefully.

Congratulations on your new purchase. :D

Sorry for missing this post, busy week, but the little bird is absolutely correct :D

And I have had a thoroughly enjoyable week so far, every day top down to and from work. Bad day at the office? Well it has become a good day by the time I get home again :D

As soon as the last couple of bits are out of my garage and I can get him in there, a progress thread will begin. Oh, and once the sun has gone away too, no way he's spending any time off the road in this weather :)

Thankyou for the welcome!

Yes, he has indeed. And long may that continue.

Thankyou everyone for the welcome.

Step one, something I always do when welcoming a new car to the garage, new boots going on next week.
