Z1 luggage for sale

Post by Green Genie »

Anyone know if this is original equipment? and where does it all fit in the boot assuming the spare wheel/first aid kit is in place? Gonna be a bit snug to say the least. I assume top down motoring with the hood in the boot would be a challenge

GG

This luggage set was an official BMW Accessory. Shown in the German Z1 accessory catalogues of 03/89 and 06/90. I looked for one in 1994 but neither BMW or the manufacturers could supply the set.
I have seen a set go on eBay in excellent condition for £1,500!
The three pieces fit in the boot with the spare wheel and the hood down. Not sure about your comment on a first aid kit. I do not think they were ever a "standard" part of the car.

Thanks for the info Pat, my car has a rather large first aid kit in the shape of a zip up pillow in a leatherette material with the BMW logo on it. Probably an extra the first owner added I assumed all Z1s came with it as it was in the car when I bought mine.

I've also got the 'pillow' first aid kit, stored behind the passenger seat.

Those ebay luggage items are in very poor condition!

I thought the same. I have the first aid kit as well.
