Re: First Z3
LOL Thank you.
Well here I am again the following day!
Can you tell me the name of the alloys on my car?
I know they are BBS Split rims.
Are they staggered?
Cheers

Welcome from me too, they are great cars and you don't need to get the roof down just when it's hot out ! No rain, Big scarf gloves and a hat and away you go !
Re: First Z3
Be careful with the rear screen in the cold weather shawn, make sure the interior of the car is properly heated before you drop the top otherwise you will crack the rear screen.
Nice Car BTW

I did the same in early march, cold windy and noisy, but with a big grinshawny-porny wrote:Ok thanks for that.

Re: First Z3
Wise words from Brian H. I recently installed OEM hoops and trim to my 98 2.8, this then allowed me to fit the mesh OEM wind deflector...great, no more neck buffeting! Picked the wind deflector up from the PO and promptly fitted, so next step was to check it out. (You know what's coming guys). Up on early start, so bit tired, temp. 6 - 7 deg, pressed lift button and........crack!!! What a prat I hear you mutter, I agree, but I can take it on the chin. Thanks to a really good soft to upholstery company in Loughborough, my Z was repaired within 48hrs, cost £125 cash done. Gary Hubbard has been in this business for years and specialises in top end soft top cars like Porsche, TVR and BMW to name but a few. I have attached his URL http://www.hubbardupholstery.co.uk so you have his contact details should you be as impatient as me, or perhaps just need a refurb. I certainly can't recommend him highly enough......even got a cup of coffee while I waited (just over the hour). His advice is don't think about lowering when the temp is less than 10 degrees. Surely something you don't have to worry about too much Southern BoyBe careful with the rear screen in the cold weather shawn, make sure the interior of the car is properly heated before you drop the top otherwise you will crack the rear screen.

Nice car, you've got the same BBS splits on it as mine - they're worth about £450 in perfect condition so you've got yourself a nice little bonus with the car purchase
