Heater valve

Post by Jonco »

Currently trying to pinpoint a slight water leak in the heater valve area.

Have ordered a new short hose as there are tell-tail deposits around connection to valve. A new OEM valve is coming in at ~£140 - ouch. Does anybody know if the water side of the valve be serviced? I would think there is only a thin body joint and an O ring type seal on the spindle.

I would of thought the hose was a prime suspect as they do degrade over time (and it is the cheapest option). I would have thought it unlikely but not impossible to be the valve body joint. Of course you could always denso tape it!! :) :)
(Before anyone reacts in horror at my last suggestion it is an in-joke and refers to some common history I have with Jonco!)
