Zed just failed MOT. Rear wheel bearing. How easy is it to replace? Any make better than others or just buy from euro car parts.Any advice much appreciated.

Coud be a hard job make is not important more the way you put it in.
Fore me it was hard to get the old bearing out.

Not sure if I agree that the bearing make is not important. Some of the unbranded bearings sold on ebay are rubbish and can fail quite quickly. A very good, premium make is SKF who make many OE bearings for manufacturers and another is INA. Eurocarparts also offer a brand called Orbis which is part of Lucas.

Find a Meyle stockist... they supply these bearings to BMW original parts...1/2 the price vs BMW dealers...

Allow plenty of time, I haven't done one on a Z3 but have done several types of 3 series cars over the years, none of which was easy. All needed the rear suspension arm removing to allow the bearing to be pressed out. Do you have access to a press? Even if you are mechanically minded it could still take 3-4 hrs.
