CITP Newby Hall - Sunday 18 May

Post by Zed Carer »

Oooooops!!!!! a total lack of co-ordination between me and Mrs ZC (i.e. it cannot be changed) means that we can't make Newby this year :head: :head:

So hopefully someone will volunteer to organise things????? I have details of the route, etc and can take anyone who wishes on a run through - it's quite a straightforward route.

This is now showing on the CITP Website but does not yet appear to be open for buying tickets. The system is quite straightforward for those who haven't been before:

1. Register on the CITP website - it's Free.
2. When registering select the ZRoadster Group - this helps Chris who runs CITP to organise parking.
3. When available purchase tickets through the website - these tickets are at a discounted price.

For those new to this event details of Newby 2013 can be found HERE.

As it's similar to previous years, the only change I can see is that show cars can enter from 09:30 rather than 10:00 so for now the meeting points and times can be the similar to last year:

Ferrybridge Services M62/A1(M): Arrive from 08:00; Depart 08:30
Sherburn Church: Arrive when we get there; Depart 5 secs after arrival!
Wetherby Services A1(M): Arrive from 08:45; Depart 09:15
Boroughbridge, Morrisons Car Park: Arrive from 09:15; Depart 09:45

If necessary we can amend nearer the time.

When posting please indicate which meeting point you will be going to.

Ferrybridge

Just been on CITP to order tickets but it doesn't appear to be letting me. I have registered with zroadster.net and BMW roadster groups but when I click on tickets it won't let me go any further? Any assistance appreciated. :) I'll meet at ferrybridge.

Cheers

Don't worry (yet) - Chris runs this site and his IT business pretty much single handed so it might be a few days before the tickets go on sale. You've done the important bit in getting registered.

The first post has now been edited to include the proposed meeting points and times. If you are not going straight to Newby then when posting please indicate which meeting point you will be using so I know who to expect at each one.

Only 4 weeks to this event, there doesn't appear to be much interest, looking at archived threads it seemed to be quite a big meet for the zed's. Or am I missing something??

It usually is to be fair but most of the interest comes in the last week when people get to know what thr weather is going to be like so there is time yet.

I won't be attending unfortuantly this year as it clashes with the Custom and Modified Car Show at Sherburn Aerodrome which I want to attend this year.

Hope you all have a good time though guys.

Is there going to be anyone at the Sherburn church meet point or could we go from Ferrybridge to weatherby services as it sounds like we're running blind? The two services and morrisons boroughbridge are easy enough as is Newby looking at the link "not ready yet" put on so I'm sure well manage those points fine! Let's hope! We could always do a billz and have a run through a very pleasant housing estate in glossop lol! :D :drive

We would normally collect Deano at sherburn but it looks like he is
Not going this year up to yet. The run is not long either way but it is a
Pleasant drive as opposed to all a1.
I am sure we as grown men  can get our heads together and find the
Route to suit! It will not take too much planning either way.
