InPhase USW10 Sub - WIRING?
InPhase USW10 Sub - WIRING?
I recently purchased an Inphase USW10 under-seat active sub-woofer second-hand from flea-bay.
Unfortunately it didn't come with the power/speaker input connector.
I've tried contacting InPhase and trawling the net without much luck
Does anyone have one of these?
As I'm not interested in High level speaker installation all I require is the location of power and earth pins, I hope someone could shed some light on this

Right then, I'll number them 1-5 on the top row, 6-10 on the bottom.
5+10 are shorted together and are the main battery positive connection.
4+9 are shorted together and form the earth connection.
3 is the remote switch connection from the back of your head unit.
8 is blank
1,2,6,7 are all power speaker inputs.
The port marked REM is a variable resistor that remotely controls the gain. If you want I can measure mine to see what it's range is in Ohms.
Good sub choice by the way.

it fits behind the drivers seat perfectly, it kind of massages your bum if you play a tune with lots of bass!

Re: InPhase USW10 Sub - WIRING?
LOL,
I better just confirm...Number one is top left and not top right?
Fortunately my unit came with the remote gain control.
Can i push my luck and ask for the speaker pin outs (If you know them)
Seriously Pete, thank you so much, I couldnt find anything on this matter anywhere.

I have an element of 'M-styling' on my car, If that's a good enough reason for the manufacturers to adorn a 320 with the M badge, then its certainly a good enough reason for me..
Re: InPhase USW10 Sub - WIRING?
Don't do that lol, some of us are cursed with a conscience

Re: InPhase USW10 Sub - WIRING?
is one of you taking the numbering facing the socket, and the other facing the plug but upside down, as pin 8 now has a connection, and pin 3 is blank.
To me upside down makes sense because it looks like the yellow wires are the battery, the black the earth, and so forth...
Edit: Sirius beat me to the upside down bit, whilst I was re-typing my essay!!

How/where are you guys mounting these?
Re: InPhase USW10 Sub - WIRING?
Haven't mounted mine yet but it seems people are just Velcro'ing them to the carpet floor behind either one of the seats

Re: InPhase USW10 Sub - WIRING?
I see you have all spotted my deliberate mistake. Yes I do in deed have the plug upside down. Don't worry though, I'm sure that as an aircraft electrician me making a mistake like this is nothing to worry about
So, here is the revised post:
Right then, I'll number them 1-5 on the top row, 6-10 on the bottom.
1+6 are shorted together and are the main battery positive connection.
2+7 are shorted together and form the earth connection.
8 is the remote switch connection from the back of your head unit.
3 is blank
4,5,9,10 are all power speaker inputs. 4 left pos, 5 right pos, 9 left pos, 10 left pos.

If you notice any upside down electrical connectors as you board the aircraft you'll find out!sirius-c wrote:
